Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay looks to 1950’s Palm Springs for new design

As the city of Sydney approaches the holiday season and its famously crisp summer, the very approachable Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Bay has unveiled a substantial makeover as well as their brand new bar-eatery Storehouse on the Park, bringing the property into the same league as Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport and Vibe Hotel Marysville, all of which make up the new generation of the brand.

Part of an ongoing redesign for the harbourside property, the new look for Vibe draws on the enviable natural surrounds of Rushcutters Bay to brighten the hotel’s public spaces with a 1950s pastiche.

The 243 rooms and 15 suites have also welcomed an additional 13 rooms, reflecting the hotel’s new inspiration of vintage Palm Springs glamour. The interior of a typical guest room is now toned down with calming muted greens and a honeycomb carpet, highlighted with ambient mood lighting and artwork that has been curated towards the park, the waterfront and the nearby yacht club. New bathrooms have also been included, each boasting a walk-in shower and upgraded fittings installed to a higher standard.

Vibe’s rooftop pool area still benefits greatly from the hotel’s location, offering guests stunning views of the yachts in Sydney Harbour. Now the space has also been reworked to better capture the vista, featuring polished timber decking, new sun lounges and sharp black and white umbrellas.

Business travelers and functions have also been a big focus for the refurbishment, with Vibe upgrading their meeting areas to allow for both indoor and outdoor catered events. Three different adaptable spaces exist for this reason, able to accommodate anything from conferences of 15 people to cocktail functions for up to 200 guests.
