Newly opened hotel boutique hotel The Ultimo is touted as the world’s first astrology hotel, and whilst its central location in Haymarket, Chinatown might be its key selling point, the other is that it was also designed with the aide of leading astrologer Damian Rocks, Founder of Stars Like You.

Originally built in 1911, The Ultimo underwent considerable refurbishments in 2016. It kept its original historic facade, but also incorporated a contemporary feel. The Ultimo now boasts 95 rooms across seven categories, including Ultimo Single to the spacious Ultimo Courtyard, with prices ranging from $139 to $329 per night.
Other specialised benefits include Stars Like You Astro Packages, Complimentary Wi-Fi, a barista coffee station, Astrolo-tea (to match your zodiac sign) and an Astrology library in the hotel lobby.
Damian Rocks has ensured that guests receive a unique experience, with an astrological twist. Astrological city guides recommend the best “Gastrology” (places to eat and drink) and “Experiology” (things to see and do) locations for each of the twelve zodiac signs. For example, a Taurean guest is recommended to “gaze at the stars at Sydney Observatory for an intergalactic evening”.
Other quirky elements include daily horoscopes delivered with the guests’ newspapers, slippers in matching zodiac designs and monthly updated horoscopes on the website.
