Stayz are now letting you pay for your holiday with exercise

Australian holiday rental site Stayz have today launched an unprecedented new concept which could change the way holiday-makers pay for their accommodation. Instead of exchanging cash for their temporary digs, people can now pay for their holiday home with every step they take. In other words, the more active you are, the cheaper your holiday.

Known as one of the most popular platforms for people to whisk away to various holiday homes around the country, the service will be offering up their vast library of rentals and ingeniously blending their with the growing trend of fitness holidays, a step that follows the finding that 87% of Australians say it is important to them to exercise and keep active while travelling.

“Australian travellers are at the heart of our business and if they believe it’s important to keep active while on holiday, then we want to help them achieve this”, offered Stayz spokesperson Philippa Durrant. “Holidays are all about doing the things you love. For those that love to stay active, the StayFitz initiative is a great way for them to do this and get rewarded at the same time”.

The new payment system will be fairly straight forward, converting tens of thousands of steps (combined between two guests) to various levels of discounts, with the possibility of people earning 100% of their money back – yep, you can earn a free holiday just by walking.

Once a StayzFit listing (all of which are HERE is booked guests secure their booking by paying in full as per the normal process. The difference is that upon arrival guests receive two step trackers that calculate their total step count each day.
