Palazzo Versace’s Queensland Week is kicking on right now

If you’re in Queensland this week, celebrating in style is definitely on the cards for you if you head to the Palazzo Versace, as the whole venue goes all out for Queensland Week.

The Palazzo Versace Gold Coast opens up its world of Italian style, glamour and luxury until 12th June, to celebrate the state of Queensland becoming a separate colony in its own right

Queensland Week is an annual celebration of Queensland’s culture, heritage, people and industry. The week-long celebration held from June 4 – 12 centres around Queensland’s birthday on 6 June and acknowledges Queensland as a separate colony in its own right.  This year, Queensland Week is celebrated at the stunning Broadwater location with a host of locally-inspired events that honour the best in local produce.

Since 1981, Queensland’s birthday has been officially promoted by the Queensland Government and has expanded to include a series of events and celebrations.

This year Palazzo Versace is proud to embrace Queensland Week by hosting home-grown inspired events that celebrate the best in  as well as supporting the local community. Head down for any of the following events:

Palazzo Versace’s signature restaurant, Vanitas and Witches Falls Winery are joining forces for a tailor-made foodie experience to hero Queensland’s locally sourced produce.

The inspiration behind the six course “experience” menu comes from Queensland’s most iconic destinations, from the Great Barrier Reef to the Gold Coast Hinterland. Matching wines from Witches Falls Winery round out each course – each wine chosen recently received a 5-RED star rating by James Halliday.

Subash Basrur, General Manager of Palazzo Versace, is passionate about showcasing the area’s local produce. He says, “We have some outstanding produce available to us here on the Gold Coast, and we felt Queensland Week was the perfect opportunity to share this philosophy with our guests”.
