Marriott Hotel makes Indonesian debut with 347-room hotel in Yogyakarta

Indonesia’s first ever internationally branded Marriott Hotel has made its debut with the opening Yogyakarta Marriott Hotel. Referencing the country’s rapidly growing market for both domestic and international travel, the renowned hotel brand is strategically positioned in an area of Yogyakarta where guests are able to immerse themselves in local culture and explore the city’s major tourist destinations including the UNESCO World Heritage listed Borobudur Temple and the 180th Century Keraton Royal Palace, both of which stand just a one hour drive from the property. The hotel is located 20 minutes from Adi Sutjipto International Airport.

The 347 guestrooms and suites that make up the hotel have been designed to reflect Marriott’s ultra-modern aesthetic alongside the property’s other features, which includes a boardroom, seven meeting rooms, several pre-function areas, and an elaborate 1,870 square-meter ballroom. Other facilities include the M-Club lounge, Quan Spa, an outdoor swimming pool, with added convenience thanks to direct access to the largest shopping and entertainment precinct in Central Java.

Three very different food and drink options are found throughout the hotel, including all-day dining concept Yogyakarta Kitchen, speciality restaurant Taman Sari Bar & Grill with views of the swimming pool, and casual lobby bar The Lounge.
