Kyneton’s French fine dining Midnight Starling collaborates with chic luxe B&B, Flop House

This autumn French bistro Midnight Starling is offering Flop House bed and breakfast guests a two-course meal with a cocktail for just $65 per person. Situated in Kyneton, a town located in the marvellous Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, the quality establishments provide the perfect destination for a peaceful long-weekend or afternoon escape. Their collaboration is a celebration of a shared passion for local friendly and quality hospitality. Travellers can experience a mix of both a refined chic Scandinavian styled accommodation at Flop House, as well as a rustic fine French dine and wine at Midnight Starling.

Michelin Star trained head chef and restaurant owner, Steven Roger, takes restaurant guests through country France with dishes serving traditional French cuisine. Menu items include the Ballotine of Poussin with candied walnuts and herb salad; Grilled Potato and Gruyere Terrine with endive salad and truffle vinaigrette, Poison du Jour and Sable Breton with poached pears and white and dark chocolate mousse. The produce is locally sourced, with much of it grown in his garden.

With similar ethos, Flop House welcomes visitors to the central Victorian region with individual guesthouses breathing an air of simple luxury, artisan produced furniture and abundance of light and comfort.

After exploring the beautiful Victorian countryside, visitors can relax in boutique Scandinavian designed accommodation and feast at one of the area’s best kept culinary secrets.
