InterContinental opens Vietnam’s highest luxury hotel in Hanoi

Complete with a signature steakhouse and unprecedented views of Vietnam’s bustling capital, InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 has now opened as the country’s highest hotel. Located within Hanoi’s Landmark72 complex, the new 359-room luxury hotel stands attached to a vibrant precinct which comprises retail, commercial and entertainment offerings, positioning it as an ideal addition to the city’s metropolitan scene as well as its MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibition) profile.

State-of-the-art and versatile meeting spaces totaling 2,861 sqm with eight functions rooms ranging from 70 to 920 sqm – including a pillar-less ballroom for 1,000 people – feature across the property, which is perched atop the towering Keangnam Landmark72 from the 62nd to 71st floors. It stands in an ideal location, situated close to some of the city’s major landmarks and attractions including Hanoi Museum, Vietnam National Convention Centre, and the Garden Shopping Centre. In addition, the hotel is less than 40 minutes from Noi Bai International Airport.

“The launch marks an exciting time for IHG and for the InterContinental brand as we have made history by welcoming guests to the highest hotel in Vietnam”, said Leanne Harwood, Vice President, Operations, South East Asia and Korea. “Hanoi is truly a booming travel destination in the region, with double-digit year-on-year growth in international arrivals and attracting over four million visitors in 2016 aloe. Opening our second InterContinental hotel in Hanoi puts us in even better position to offer top-notch luxury accommodation for travellers in the country”.

The hotel’s guest rooms include 34 spacious and well-appointed suites, all which feature panoramic views of Hanoi’s skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows from the 62nd to 70th floor. Of course, there’s also a Club InterContinental Lounge located on the 71st floor, offering peace, quiet and exclusive services like an a la carte breakfast, all-day refreshments and an afternoon tea service.

The majority of the hotel’s restaurants and bars are located on the 62nd floor to make full use of the sky-high location. This includes one with a triple market-style kitchens each serving different cuisines, a lounge, a bar integrated into the hotel’s lobby, and a signature restaurant and steakhouse called Stellar. The steakhouse promises to serve guests the most premium cuts of beef available, with an in-house meatsmith and resident butcher and meat expert guides available to take diners through cuts of in-house-aged meat. The meatsmith will be especially valuable for diners looking for one-on-one dining experiences and personalised attention, for those really interesting in diving into the intricacies of each cut as well as the provenance of the meats and marble grading.

InterContinental Hanoi Landmark72 is the second InterContinental in Hanoi, joining the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake located close to Hanoi’s famous Old Quarter. A special opening rate is available, with a nightly stay priced at USD$108 (or AUD $137). More information can be found at www.intercontinental.com.
