Hotel Indigo set to deliver a brand new boutique hotel to Sydney’s CBD

Sydney’s Central station is currently undergoing a massive transformation, and soon the thriving Central precinct will welcome an IHG boutique hotel, Hotel Indigo. It’s a few years in the making with an opening date of 2021, but when the 168-room hotel does arrive, it will be adding a hint of contemporary style to Central’s rich heritage neighbourhood.

Hotel Indigo will be located just opposite Capitol Square, and boasts a restaurant, café, bar, five suites, gym, and rooftop terraces for meetings and events with some epic views over the city skyline.

The cantilevered northern wing will provide a sophisticated and calming backdrop to its neighbour, the heritage-listed Corporation Building, while a grand artwork will become a distinctive external feature, celebrating the hotel’s location within the Haymarket entertainment precinct.

“Hotel Indigo Sydney Central will be IHG’s first lifestyle-branded boutique hotel in Sydney, providing its signature ‘effortless authenticity’ to guests visiting Australia’s largest business and tourist hub,” Abhijay Sandilya, IHG’s Senior Director, Development Australasia & South Pacific, said.
