Emirates launch double daily service between Dubai and Moscow

From October 1 2017, Emirates will be operating a double daily service between Dubai and Moscow on the airline’s A380, adding an extra 1,000 seats per week. The new service will allow multiple A380 to A380 connections to a wide range of leisure and business destinations including Mauritius, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and more.

The new service will provide a connection for Australians travelling from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Flights will be operated by an Airbus A380 aircraft with 14 Private Suites in First Class, 76 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 427 comfortable seats in Economy Class. All cabins feature Wi-Fi access and over 2,500 channels of films, music and games.

First and Business Class passengers on the Emirates A380 can relax in the Onboard Lounge on the upper deck of the aircraft, while tasting fine selection of wines and spirits and gourmet delicacies. First Class passengers also get exclusive access to the on-board Emirates Shower Spa. Premium customers can receive a complimentary chauffeur drive service to and from Moscow Domodedovo airport and Dubai International Airport, as well as access to Emirates exclusive lounges and priority check-in.

In addition to the added services to and from Russia, Emirates will shift their schedule to and from St Petersburg, from  October 29, 2017 until March 24, 2018. EK176 will depart from Pulkovo International Airport at 11:55 pm and land at Dubai International Airport the next day at 7:05 am.

From Dubai, EK175 flights will depart at 3:30 pm and land in Saint Petersburg at  8:45 pm. This will provide Australian travellers a connection to St Petersburg with a brief stopover in Dubai when departing from destinations including Sydney on EK415, Melbourne on EK409, Brisbane on EK433 and Perth on EK425.

This is good news for Aussie travellers as the new times mean those travelling to Dubai, get an additional day in the city, and arrive from Saint Petersburg early in the morning instead of the late evening.
