Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth to be decked out in Australian swag in 2019

Luxury cruise brand Cunard have announced a series of partnerships with four Australian brands, set to deck out its iconic Queen Elizabeth ship ahead of the 2019 season, where it will embark on no less than 27 itineraries from Australian waters.

The move will see Queen Elizabeth’s bellboys replace their current uniforms with boots designed by iconic manufacturers R.M. Williams and Akubra Hats.

Classes and performances will be provided onboard the Queen Elizabeth by The Australian Dance Theatre, performing their latest work The Beginning of Nature, while The Seafarer, a 225L barrel of whiskey will be provided by STARWARD Distillery, travelling aboard the Queen Elizabeth for twelve months for maturation before being opened and served at the start of the 2019 season.

President Sture Myrmell has described this partnership as breaking new ground for Cunard.

“These partnerships are designed to embrace Australian products and culture and celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 2019 season Down Under.”

Queen Elizabeth – which is travelling from Sydney to Brisbane via Newcastle as we speak – will hit Australian waters through February and March next year, sailing from Sydney and Melbourne across a total of twenty-seven itineraries, before returning in December 2019 through to March 2020 for a record breaking 101 days.
