Carnival Cruises Launches New WiFi and Social Media Plans

Let us not beat around the bush: in 2016, the only reason anyone actually travels anywhere is to Instagram the hell out of it. Of course, this is sometimes met with debilitating challenges involving poor/no (!!) Wifi connection, and ludicrously expensive data plans that can mean your casual ‘grams rack up hundreds of dollars in fees.

Enter Carnival Cruises. If you haven’t seen their gigantic ships floating in a harbour near you, they are the largest cruise ship company in the world, with a staggering four and a half million people hopping on each year.

This month, they have launched their high speed internet connection on board all their ships, alongside a social media package that will mean you can Instagram/Twitter/Facebook/Snapchat/Vine/whatever else your heart out for $15 dollars a day.

And. It’s. Unlimited.

There are also discounts available if you grab it for the entire duration of your cruise.

“[Passengers] can now upload as many selfies as they like and check into the fantastic ports they visit during the cruise,” adds Vice President Jennifer Vandekreeke.

You heard the lady, selfie away.
