Hotel Review: Twin Room at Ibis Perth (Western Australia)

Smack dab in the middle of Perth’s busy West End – sitting just 300m from the Murray and Hay Street shopping malls – is the Ibis Perth‘s 192 room hotel. Though only listed as a three star establishment, it seems unfair to throw it in the same category that many seedy motels around the country seem to get. The Ibis chain are in a league of their own. This may be a low cost hotel, but the decor and amenities easily put it on par with its four and five star cousins in terms of both comfort and experience.

In traditional Ibis fashion, the rooms are small, but contain everything you need within, be you passing through the city as a tourist, or in town for a business trip. The desk in the room even has enough room for two (with two chairs to boot) to work simultaneously. Just BYO power board to make sure you have enough power spots for your computers.

Really what’s most important about a room like this are the beds, and as is the case across their whole chain, their new beds couldn’t be more comfortable. The room also holds a decent sized flat screen TV, bathroom with all the amenities and comfortable, modern decor that makes you feel right at home.

The service is also top notch, giving you premium service from the minute you walk into the building, with Accor “Le Club” members particularly well looked after, with express check in available.

And to top it all off, the breakfast buffet is fantastic, providing an excellent mix of hot food (eggs, bacon… the usual) with cereals, breads, fruit and pastries. You really don’t need any more than this – and of course there are a variety of room options available to suit the needs of most travellers, at affordable and competitive prices. Head to their website for more details.
